Liz is Head of the School of Modern Languages at Newcastle University. Within the School she is in the German Section. In addition to being the Co-Director of the Links into Languages NE Regional Centre, she is Director of the Routes into Languages NE Consortium (www.routesintolanguages.ac.uk/northeast ) as well as Director of the Teaching Development Agency German Extension Course (http://www.ncl.ac.uk/sml/german-extension/index.htm ). Nationally, Liz represents Germanic Languages on the University Council of Modern Languages (http://www.ucml.ac.uk/). Her research is focused on medieval German literature while she teaches options in both medieval literature and German film of the Weimar Republic and Third Reich.

Sue is Head of the School of Education, Communication and Language Sciences, and a member of Senate, the University's Internationalization Executive Group and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Executive Board. Sue is Co-Director of LINKS into Languages Regional Language Centre. She is a member of the Research Centre for Learning and Teaching and her current research interests focus on the internationalization of higher education and its implications for innovative teaching and learning methods, curriculum development, staff development and student support. Sue convenes a Regional University Internationalization Network and is advisor to a Teacher Training Programme for Burmese Teachers.
Tracy started as North East Regional Manager for Links in September 2009, having come to us from her previous post as Programme Manager for English, Drama and MFL in a large FE college. After completing her PGCE at Durham University she taught MFL in Durham, becoming an Advanced Skills Teacher in 2004.
Jane started work at the Links North East office in September 2009 having previously worked in the School of Education, Communication & Language Sciences at Newcastle University.
