China Activity Grants

Supported by the HSBC Global Education Programme and managed by the British Council, this opportunity is designed to help schools (primary, secondary and SEN), sixth form colleges and FE colleges across the UK to arrange events or activities that will help their students learn more about China or Mandarin Chinese.

As part of the grant application, they must show how students will pass on what they have learnt to other members of the community, and so supporting community cohesion. Schools and colleges can apply for grants of up to £750.

The deadline for applications for the first round of grants (for activity between January and March 2010) is 7 December 2009.

For the second round of grants (for activity between April and July 2010) applications can be submitted from 1 February 2010 and must be received by 1 March 2010.
