Aspiring Confucius Classrooms

In partnership with the Office of Chinese Language Council International (Hanban), the SSAT Confucius Institute wishes to designate 20 Aspiring Confucius Classrooms.
Aspiring Confucius Classrooms will initially receive funding to develop Chinese and the study of China within their school. Unlike the existing 12 Leading Confucius Classrooms, the Aspiring Confucius Classrooms will not be required to undertake outreach work in other schools on a regional basis. They will be eligible to receive teaching support from Hanban teachers next academic year.
 
To apply to become an Aspiring Confucius Classroom, please complete the attached application form and return it  by Tuesday 8 December 2009. All secondary schools in England are eligible to apply. It is intended that there will be the opportunity for Aspiring Confucius Classrooms to apply to become Leading Confucius Classrooms when they are ready.
