220 places available for online Spanish courses for primary and secondary school teachers

The Cervantes Institute are running two online Spanish courses for teachers of varying abilities. Both courses will run for 60 hours over a 20 week period.

A Spanish ab initio course will start in January which aims to provide teachers with the skills to converse and understand simple Spanish in everyday situations. This is aimed at primary school teachers with no knowledge of Spanish that intend to teach Spanish next year.There are 100 places available for this course

An elementary Spanish course will run for primary and secondary school teachers with limited knowledge of Spanish who are already teaching it or plan to teach it next year. There are 120 places available for this course.

Both courses are designed to give maximum flexibility and teachers will have unlimited access to online material for the duration of the course in order to do their weekly work and progress can be assessed by completing self-evaluation tests and online tutorials.

Fees: Ab Initio £10 / Elementary £20

Please note these fees include a considerable reduction that is not applicable to the general public.

Applicants are requested to send a letter along with their application forms signed either by the school’s headship or the local authority stating the school’s intention to deploy the teacher introducing or extending the teaching of Spanish within the following year.

Candidates will be considered on a first come first served basis.
