Joe Dale in the NE to deliver the S03 Links' course at Newcastle University

Links NE Regional Centre was delighted to welcome Joe Dale on Monday 28th June, when he visited the North East to deliver the Links S03 core course. The session was held in the Links NE Resource Centre, which houses various work areas, including a 30 unit computer suite, clustered around a central Smartboard.
The S03 session, entitled "The interactive classroom: moving the classroom walls" covers harnessing digital technology to support language learning and develop effective oral interaction. There is also a module focussed specifically on developing pupils' speaking skills.
As well as hearing lots of new ideas and useful tips, delegates were all given the resources and materials in the form of a USB stick to take with them back to school.
One delegate commented on the event saying, " Small group work facilitated the discussion and Joe was very clear and patient"
