The new Primary Teachers’ Project involves spending two consecutive weeks in France, Germany or Spain. The first week of the project is devoted to intensive language and methodology training, while the second is spent work shadowing in a primary school.
The first of these projects will be running in Germany and Spain in October 2010. The first week will take place during the October half term break between the 25th and 29th of October, followed by the second week job shadowing placement in a primary school between the 1st and 5th of November. The deadline for the application for these October visits is 30th April 2010.
Projects will also be taking place in France, Germany and Spain in February and at Easter 2011. The first week will take place during the spring half term break between the 21st and 25th of February, followed by the second week job shadowing placement in a primary school, between the 28th of February and the 4th of March. The deadline for application for these 2011 projects is 15th September 2010.
The German visits will take place in Nordrhein-Westfalen, the Spanish in Castilla y León and the venue for the French visits will be confirmed soon.
A contribution of £525 towards supply cover for the week of term time involved is available.
