At Aston University, Routes into Languages held a “Celebrating China” event on 10th February for Year 8 pupils from local schools. 40 pupils attended and took part in workshops on Tai Chi, calligraphy and Chinese language delivered by Aston staff and students. Pupils also had the chance to try their hand at eating some Chinese food with chop sticks! Meanwhile, Links into Languages provided very useful and informative CPD session on using authentic texts for teachers accompanying their pupils which was very well received.

This event was first of several workshop provided for free to all teachers in the West Midlands, and are open to all participants even if they are not taking part in the Routes' activities.
