Programme
10.00 - 10.30 : Welcome.
10.30 - 11.00 : Presentation of the Double diploma Master FLE/PGCE (for French Language Assistants).
11.00 - 13.00 : Create a pedagogical ressource with a song *.
13.00 - 14.00 : Lunch.
14.00 - 14.30 : Build a pedagogical ressource with online French Archive videos **.
14.30 - 16.30 : Create a pedagogical ressource with a short movie*.
16.30 - 17.00 : Presentation of the "Musiques Actuelles" Workshops***..
* A specialist in pedagogical resources from the CAVILAM will show how to create innovative resources using songs or short movies. The CAVILAM (Centre d'Approche VIvante des LAngues et des Médias) is part of the Université de Clermont Ferrand and is the official provider of pedagogical ressources for the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and for TV5 Monde.
The Cavilam has already produced more than 50 CDs and DVDs gathering French songs and French short movies accompanied by pedagogical activities. Every week, the Cavilam creates activities based on the TV5 Monde programmes and documentaries such as "7jours sur la planète" ( http://www.tv5.org/TV5Site/7-jours/ ) used by French Teachers all around the world.
** The INA (Institut National de l'Audiovisuel Français) offers an amazing free access website gathering more than 1200 archive videos about French and European history. More than just videos, the website offers historical context and subtitles. Already used by many teachers around the world, you will see how to use this website in the classroom and how it allows your students to learn French Language along with historical aspects.
*** The ATELIERS DE MUSIQUE ACTUELLE is a new workshop offered by the French Institute and their partner "BAM". The idea is simple but exciting : pupils are asked to play the role of journalists by interviewing French artists in front of real journalists !
