LinkedUp Award Scheme

Collaboration for creative learning

WATCH THIS SPACE!

Our last deadline for submitting applications in the current phase of the scheme has now passed

However, there is a lot more to come...

Our projects

The Resource Bank

The first set of dissemination materials from the projects will be available online by the end of September 2010. They will include toolkits, learning resources, slides and film clips, designed to enable you to find out more about a project and its impact and, if you wish, to use the materials and ideas in your own school.

The resources will be searchable by theme, region and sector, and will include all age ranges from infants to the sixth form.

Dissemination events

Regional and national events to showcase the projects are planned for Autumn 2010 and Spring 2011. These will include a session at the SSAT's Annual Language Conference in October, and events hosted by the Links Regional Centres.  All the events will be listed on the Links website so watch this space!

The LinkedUp newsletter

Our second newsletter is in preparation and we hope to publish it soon. Meanwhile, our first newsletter features a selection of projects. You can see an electronic version here..

Interested in applying?

If you are interested in applying in the future to run a LinkedUp project, we would like to hear from you.

We don't yet know if there will be opportunities to run more projects in 2011, but we will keep your details on record so that we can contact you as soon as we find out. We will also contact you if other opportunities arise to apply for project funding.

We welcome applications from primary, secondary and special schools, 16-19 colleges, local authorities, universities and other organisations.

PLEASE SEND US AN EXPRESSION OF INTEREST by downloading the form below and emailing it to linkedup@all-languages.org.uk.  (We recommend that you have a look first at the more detailed information about the scheme on the tabs above, or the application guidelines which you can download further down on this page.)

WHAT IS LINKEDUP ALL ABOUT?

You can find out more about the scheme by browsing the tabs at the top of this page or downloading the application guidelines. Essentially the scheme is about giving teachers time to work together to develop their ideas for language learning. The scheme will fund more than 100 projects to tackle the challenges we are facing and make a difference for teachers and learners.

The LinkedUp scheme:

  1. funds a range of projects varying in size and scope
  2. helps networks which already exist to take innovative and effective ideas further
  3. encourages new networks to come together to develop projects
  4. encourages collaboration between different organisations and sectors
  5. includes a mentor for each project
  6. awards an additional recognition, the Links Mark, to schools and other institutions involved in successful projects
  7. connects with a range of networks to ensure that the results of the projects have impact and sustainability
  8. publishes resources and ideas from each project in a national resource bank accessible to all teachers.
