Summary

This course is aimed at all MFL teachers. There will be two workshops:

Embedding Thinking Skills in your MFL lessons
How Thinking Skills can be integrated as part of everyday classroom activities:

  • Strategies for embedding Thinking Skills in Schemes of Work
  • Ideas for developing a repertoire of Thinking Skills activities
  • Strategies for differentiating Thinking Skills activities
  • Using ICT to support the development of Thinking Skills resources

Trainer

Isabelle Jones

Isabelle Jones has 16 years of experience teaching French and Spanish. She has been a Head of Languages since 2002 and she is a lead teacher for Oldham SLN. Her areas of special interests are ICT, Intercultural Understanding and Thinking Skills.

Jane Full

Jane Full is an AST and teaches at Hayle Community School, Cornwall. She is a Regional Support Adviser for ALL, for the South West, and enjoys sharing ideas with teachers who are embracing the new KS3 Programme of Study and National Curriculum.
