Developing pupils' language learning skills: being a good language learner

Summary
This session will provide colleagues, either from the primary or secondary sector, with an opportunity to consider how they might better support the development of language learning skills, how this might support progression, assessment and allow us to cater better when pupils may be learning a variety of languages over the course of their school life. The session will focus on using the ‘language learning strategies’ strand of the KS2 and 3 frameworks.

Outcomes
You will:
- consider ways to support KAL in your language lessons
- consider assessment and progression in language learning skills
- discuss strategies to support learners who may be studying a variety of languages in KS2 and KS3
