Summary
This one day conference provides an opportunity for colleagues involved in co-ordinating languages and those co-ordinating literacy to focus together on the links between language learning and literacy. The aim is to demonstrate the alignment of the key literacy objectives in the Primary Framework and the objectives from the KS2 FWK for languages, and particularly the commonalities in teaching and learning strategies and language learning strategies which support the development of pupils' language learning skills. For literacy colleagues the conference will highlight the contribution primary languages can offer towards the improvement of pupils’ literacy skills.

Outcomes
You will:
- make links with the key literacy objectives in the Primary Framework and the objectives from the KS2 FWK for languages

- In order to cover our direct costs, e.g. catering and guest speaker expenses, Staffordshire county council charges £158 to attend this event. Lunch and take-home resources will be provided.
