Summary
Already a successful project coordinated by the West Midlands Routes into Languages Consortium in partnership with the Youth Sport Trust, Active Languages aims to take languages out of the classroom and combine fun language learning with sports and exercise.
It will begin with a full day training event for teachers of Languages and/or PE/Sports with advice, demonstrations and practical sessions delivered by schools and Youth Sport Trust representatives. After learning how effective this combined form of teaching can be, you will then have chance to begin planning your own Active Languages project/event, which can be delivered in your school. There will also be the opportunity for a follow-up session later in the year to celebrate individual school projects and events.
There are places for a maximum of fifteen schools.

Cost
- In order to cover our direct costs, e.g. catering and speaker expenses, we charge £75 to attend this event. Lunch and take-home resources will be provided.
- Once you have registered to attend an event, you will be contacted by your regional Links administrator who will send you payment instructions.
