John Connor will be informing teachers of the alternatives to the GCSE, including NVQ qualifications. He will take you through the various methods of teacher assessment, looking at asset lanaguges.
Asset Languages is the assessment scheme for the DCSF Languages Ladder and is being developed by Cambridge Assessment through OCR and Cambridge ESOL, as part of the National Languages Strategy.
Name: John Connor
A former faculty head, local authority adviser and OFSTED team inspector, John works as an independent consultant, running training workshops and directing teaching and learning quality audits across the UK, the Channel Islands, the Middle East and the Far East. He has been working recently as a Regional Trainer on the KS3 Development programme and a Regional Subject Adviser for the roll-out of the new secondary curriculum. The bulk of his work has been aimed at building teaching capacity in the primary workforce, and he acts as an associate consultant for three local authorities. He is also and Assessor for the Advanced Skills Teacher and Excellent Teacher project.
