Royds School and Specialist Languages College is a designated CPD Centre for the Specialist Schools Trust in Languages and we would like to invite you to a free CPD workshop.
The workshop will be of most use to teachers of Languages looking for new ideas in innovative classroom practice. It will provide teachers with the opportunity for hands on training in the following areas:
• The role of thinking skills strategies in the Languages classroom.
• Exploring how to deliver certain strategies successfully;
• Followed by hands – on practical guidance on how to create such activities.
The format of the day will comprise demonstrations by the AST for Languages and SSAT Lead Practitioner Louise Crossley, hands-on practice with step-by-step notes and finally opportunities for discussion with colleagues. Delegates will receive a USB pen so they can take away all the resources produced on the day.
The workshop will take place on Thursday 11th March at Royds School and Specialist Languages College from 9.00am until 3.00pm and due to our specialist status the delegate rate will be FREE! Lunch and all refreshments are included FREE!

This workshop will be run by a SSAT Languages Lead Practitioner and Advanced Skills Teacher Louise Crossley.
Louise works full-time as an AST in Modern Foreign Languages here at Royds School. She works creatively to support, identify and disseminate innovative and successful teaching and learning strategies.
