Summary

Royds School and Specialist Languages College is a designated CPD Centre for the Specialist Schools Trust in Languages and we would like to invite you to a free CPD workshop.

The workshop will be of most use to teachers of Languages looking for new ideas in innovative classroom practice. It will provide teachers with the opportunity for hands on training in the following areas:

• The role of thinking skills strategies in the Languages classroom.
• Exploring how to deliver certain strategies successfully;
• Followed by hands – on practical guidance on how to create such activities.

The format of the day will comprise demonstrations by the AST for Languages and SSAT Lead Practitioner Louise Crossley, hands-on practice with step-by-step notes and finally opportunities for discussion with colleagues. Delegates will receive a USB pen so they can take away all the resources produced on the day.

The workshop will take place on Thursday 11th March at Royds School and Specialist Languages College from 9.00am until 3.00pm and due to our specialist status the delegate rate will be FREE! Lunch and all refreshments are included FREE!
If you would like to take advantage of this opportunity, please email hampsokp01@leedslearning.net  for further information by 5th March.

I hope that you are able to send a delegate to the workshop but spaces are limited. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to get in touch if you would like further information about any aspect of the training.
