The renewed KS3 Framework for Languages gives a practical structure to help teachers to secure this progression and this course will allow teachers time to consider it in context, to discuss ideas with other colleagues and to return to school with a clear rationale for how and why the KS3 Framework for Languages should be used.
The course is very interactive and practical. You will not be required to have any prior knowledge of the current or previous framework.
The registration starts at 9.45 for a 10 am start
The course is divided into four sessions:
• Introduction to the Framework.
• Introduction to the online Framework and the associated materials.
• Introduction to two renewed e-learning modules.
• How the Framework can improve teaching and learning
Each participant will also receive a USB stick containing all the course materials including PowerPoints and a variety of resources which can be used to disseminate training to colleagues.
This course will be delivered by Fi Cotton. Fi has twenty years experience of working in local comprehensive schools and is now the Solihull consultant for languages, managing the primary languages strategy, KS2-3 transition in languages and has a whole school role for assessment and learning. She is a highly experienced and well established trainer.
