Prize draw rules: terms and conditions

Win one free place on a Links into Languages course and get your supply cover paid. One free place and cover per region.

  • Entry to the competition is restricted to one entry per person during the period of the competition.
  • Competition entry open only to those who have not previously registered on the Links into Languages mailing list.
  • Multiple entries will be disqualified.
  • Automated entries, bulk entries or third party entries will be disqualified.
  • By entering into the prize draw you are subscribing to the Links into Languages mailing list. You may unsubscribe from this mailing list at any time after the Prize Draw has taken place by following the instructions to unsubscribe in the e-mail communications sent.
  • Competitions are open to residents of England only who are over 18 years of age and teach in a school located in one of the nine English government regions.
  • Entry into this competition is prohibited for employees of Links into Languages and their immediate families and agencies associated with this competition.
  • Prizes can only be sent to a valid address in England.
  • The competition will run from 5 Feb 2010 until 31 March 2010. All entries must be submitted by 11.55pm (GMT) on 28 Feb 2010. One winner per government region will be chosen at random from all valid entries. Winners will be contacted via email within 6 weeks of the closing date. The names of the winners will be displayed on our website within 6 weeks of the closing date.
  • Winners may be contacted after they have been on a Links into Languages Course to provide feedback on the event.
  • The process of drawing the winners at random is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • No cash alternative will be offered.
  • Links into Languages is compliant with the data protection act. For the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1988 the data controller is the University of Southampton and any inquiries may be addressed to linksintolanguages@soton.ac.uk. The University will not disclose your data to any third parties except with your consent or as required by law.
  • No payment is required by you to enter into the Prize draw. Prize must be redeemed by 31 March 2011.
  • The course and cover will be paid for attendance at a course in the winning entrants' respective government region.
